Spring reception

A very simple centerpiece featuring the bride's favorite flower--tulips! Floating candles, submerged tulips and petals--simple but effective.

A very elaborate cake--five tiers.

And last, but not least a tossing bouquet.

Spring bouquets

It is always fun to receive images from pro photographers
thanks to Whitney Lee photography for these images!
I love seeing the emotions and creativity.

I love this image-- of course I love the flowers, but I love the dress hanging unexpectedly from the tree.

Bride and groom-- loved the groom's freesia bouttoniere--another one of those seasonal spring touches-- I didn't even have to look up the date of this event, I could tell by the flower choices--spring for sure!!

Spring lilac!

The beautiful purple lilac was absolutely gorgeous this past spring--this is one of those varieties that must be utilized as a seasonal flower--the tulips, lilac, roses, stock and anemone completed this monochromatic bouquet.

The bouquets were used as centerpieces during the reception--I am very mixed on this idea. I'll elaborate on this more in a future post.

The flowers completed a very monochromatic look with the dresses-- I will verify this - but I believe this shade of bridesmaid gown is Lapis.
Thanks to Whitney Lee Photography for the images.

Photo edits.

I couldn't pass up discussing this bouquet and the post editing.
This is a professional image-- it is obvious since they are presented side by side that there has been some color correction.
The bouquet on the left looks more red, the one on the right more burgandy/magenta. Could be the natural light or could be post production--my point--be flexible, be specific but know that sometimes the flower colors in magazines, blogs, albums could be "corrected" to fit in context of the photo--talk to your florist about the reality of a "perfect" match!

Initial craftiness!

A few more images from the magenta and green soiree-- specifically these initials--
if you've followed along, you know that I am not crafty, at all. Becky said yes to these cute monograms--we are always up for a challenge.
I thought they turned out super cute!
Way to go girls!

They were such I huge hit!--so I could possibly say yes to this in the future:)

Pretty in pink part 2

We don't see alot of 5 tier wedding cakes, but this one was definitely a show stoppper-- I loved the simplicity of it--that is a sweet ruffle detail in the center of each tier --finished with the hydrangea wreath and a few flowers on the top--could be one of my new favorites.

Couldn't pass up these peonies submerged--even prettier that I thought they would be--they looked like poofs of cotton candy suspended in the water--that sounds very technical:)

And a centerpiece--the pillar candle is lit with an LED, a requirement for this venue--

Pretty in pink!

On a recent rainy Friday, Amanda ( one of our rockstar designers!) put this beautiful fountain display together--
I absolutley loved the final product-- all things pretty in pink, peonies, hydrangea, roses and petals accented with a few candles.
As the evening progressed it was a beautiful focal point to an otherwise plain fountain.

A few of the flowers nestled around the dolphins on all sides.

It all in the details--thanks for the inspiration--
It was a thrill to open the door and see your creation--I know that our sweet bride Katy also loved it!

Raspberry and green!

A few images from a recent wedding with a striking color combo--
magenta and green.
These peonies were the perfect shade of magenta to compliment the colors of the bridesmaids dresses (see below)

A cute photo!

The bridesmaids carried flowers in shades of whites and greens!

Summertime orange part 2

Amazing cake-- a lush garland of orange orchid blooms -- cascading down both sides of the cake---wow!
This table was in the center of the room --makes a statement.

The tables featured these tall submerged orchids and also a low bowl of mango calla lilies--the lighting in this room is awesome!

A fun little lounge area--all the colors repeating from the dresses to the flowers to the linens to the lighting--
