Victorian Lilac at Vintage Villas

Have I mentioned I love this ribbon treatment on chairs--here it is at the
Gazebo area of Vintage Villas.

We only put the ribbons on the last row of each side-- Lindsay's colors were Victorian lilac, pink and dark purple with a splash of green.

Here are all the colors in one arrangement--love the color combo!

A few tall centerpieces on the white linens with just a lilac runner and chair tie-- simple, but yet so elegant!

Blue and orange- a favorite!

I'm taking a break from the Bridal Extravaganza bouquets to show you one of my favorite color combos again! Orange and  blue-- this wedding definitely used this color range effectively. Those colored men's ties that I Love-- a pop of color on the flower girl.

Both the bride and groom with just a touch of orange!

Simple, stunning centerpieces-- hanging candles, orange tulips and hydrangea.

A great cake-- these details are picturesque!

Summer color

This bouquet was filled with color--pincushions, orchids, gloriosa, hydrangea,buttons,freesia--so many colorful varieties--it was picked up many, many times-- everytime it was picked up a different side appeared.

Gerbera daisies are an all time favorite-- this was created with a bride in mind, both regular and miniature sizes were used--red, orange and yellow-- we also had an all orange gerbera daisy in the booth-more suitable for a bridesmaid.

We didn't leave out the boys, just a couple of the bouttonieres that we had on display!

Smellivision

If you stopped by our booth at the Bridal Extravaganza you couldn't help but smell these fabulous blooms.  These are the most intoxicating garden roses--this is the first time we've had garden roses, big, fragrant  and fuschia.

And of course these peonies-- if you want peonies in Austin Tx-the last 2 weeks of May and the month of June. Yes, they are available at different times but I promise you, they will not be this glorious.

And one of the other favorites of the day--a combination of flowers in shades of whites and ivory--hydrangea, astilbe, sweet peas, freesia, peony and a few roses--it just doesn't get much better than this!

Bridal Extravaganza favorites

Always a favorite--it is a
POMANDER

Sounds like purple is going to be big in the fall and spring

The designer's favorite--coral charm peonies, 2 shades of pink roses, orange and green accents.
One of our weddings this weekend featured these flowers--can't wait to show you!
I'll be adding bridal extravaganza pictures all week-is there anything in particular you would like to see?
Let me know, I love to see comments !!

More Summer favorites

These colors just feel like summer--they remind me of sherbert ice creams-orange, pinks and dark green foliages.

A colorful bridal bouquet-varieties of flowers- roses, buttons, berries, ranunucla, gerbera daisies make up this vibrant combination.

The tables featured the low conversational centerpieces, white chivari and colored runners--perfect for a summer brunch.

Some tables had the taller gerbera daisy submerged --this is the Vistas ballroom at The Lakeway Resort and Spa.

Riverplace Spring 2008

I am in the process of putting all of my photos in one place-wish me luck! I stumbled upon these few images that I received months ago.  The groom was the brother of one of my brides from years ago( maybe 8-9 years ago)-so I was super excited when I was asked to design the flowers for his wedding.
The request was simple--gerbera daisies and carnations, yes carnations.

The bridesmaids wore the dark brown and all of the ribbons and sashes were the
"tiffany" blue-the bride carried the gerbera daisies along with white carnations.  She and her mom had always purchased white carnations together, and in a sweet memory of her mom, she carried them on her wedding day.

Just waiting to go to the party-- this wedding had a small feature in The Knot Texas- the 2008 spring edition--the floral photo--a white carnation bouttoniere!!!

The centerpieces were light blue hydrangea, curly willow and white carnations.
Thanks to Matt's mom for all of her generous referrals over the years, they are much appreciated!

Favorite Summer weddings

This wedding was one of our favorites from last year--Becky worked with Amber on all of the details at this ceremony and reception out at  The Horseshoe Bay Resort.  The arbor was accented with hanging crystals, candles and flowers in shades of cream and greens--Amber's gown is a very soft shade of mocha.

One of our favorite aisles--pomanders hanging from shepherd's hooks, petals covering the aisleway and  hydrangea and green ribbons on the other chairs--can you tell it is over 95degrees?

This aisle was put together very close to the ceremony time due to the heat--mid June=hot!
Heat is definitely something to consider when choosing an outdoor event in Texas in the summer!

Anita and Sujuti

We had the pleasure of working with Anita and Sujiti planning their wedding celebration.
As the custom with most Indian weddings, the celebration spanned a few days and alot of hours! We started with them on a Friday morning for their sunrise ceremony-- it means we were setting up at The Austin Hindu community center at 5:30am!  I wish I could have witnessed the entire event, it involves the groom arriving on a white horse and much singing and dancing-the energy of a happy, happy celebration!

The traditional attire was colorful and exquisite-- mostly fuschia and orange for the daytime and plum and gold for the evening with a splash of orange.

This is the entrance into the Hilton ballroom.

A family formal--the garlands were made by Anita's family, the mundap was created by BouquetsofAustin--it was a 4 pole canopy with rich woven fabrics in the oranges and reds.
